Bandology was a semester student-pitched project, initially to create a casual MMO about playing in a band.  Many MMOGs demand significant time investments, harsh leveling grinds, or other gameplay mechanics that appeal to a limited audience.  Bandology’s goal is to allow groups of players to play cooperatively at their own pace without having to be online playing simultaneously.  We spent the semester focusing on the core game, and experimenting with ways to accomplish asynchronous cooperative gameplay.

My responsibilities in Bandology include contributing to the design of the overall game and world.

I’m also responsible for building the game’s customizable avatar system and animating the avatars for use in the core game. This is done in Flash CS3 using Actionscript 3.
